International Media is not after the truth, rather it is after “Scoops” without calculating the consequences.
Is credibility became the least important to the international media and journals?
Since yesterday, international media outlets are “propagating” the news about ISIL burning Yazidi girls alive after it was broadcasted by an “unknown and questionable source” that does not carry any credibility in circulating news about Mosul. This news then was spread in a heart beat through legitimate media outlets without investigating how true the news is or how credible the sourse is, which made us think and question, with surprise, how credible those media outlets really are?
News agencies like Sputnik, Fox News and the Indian TV and newspapers like The Independent, Daily Mail, Mirror, The Sun, International Business Times, Life News, Christian Today and other news papers, circulated the news as if it holds any facts and most of which propagated it just because it came with a shocking title for their followers to scoop in.
It hurt us very much to see such news propagated through prestigious names within the international media arena, While here in Mosul Eye, we are working on circulating news from Mosul for two years, and very careful to insure the news we circulate here is authenticated. Spreading such false news Hurts more than it helps. This incident makes us to put our guards higher than before towards those outlets fearing that what we have might be misused, and we address those outlets that you are not after spreading the truth about Mosul, but merely just after the scoop and after the “Exclusive News” title to increase your viewers’ numbers.
This matter hurts us more as we have been constantly and continuously misrepresented in the media because of such false news and biased media. As you propagate false news without first investigating them and without calculating their consequences upon us as we are trying to set ourselves free of ISIL, you look more criminal to us than ISIL, as you serve ISIL’s purpose by propagating such news.
